Choose A Halloween Theme

Halloween is the celebration of witches, monsters and ghosts, but even in this crazy world you can find a special theme to share with your guests.  Among the themes that you can choose: Halloween Cinema, Characters of the filmmaker Tim Burton (From Edward Scissorhands to Alice in Wonderland, you’ll be spoiled for choices), classic monsters (Frankenstein, the Wolf Man, etc.), a vampire-party (since this is definitely the generation in love with vampires), or a variation like demons and sexy devils, or something in space, or one for children (using the villains of Disney or fairytales).  It is important to unleash the imagination, write a list of guests who know how to play the game and prepare themed invitations!

Decorate Your Home For Your Halloween Party

The theme of your party will also help you setup the table and decorate the house. If you opt for a Classic Halloween color combination you’ll have no problem finding orange and black decorations to adorn your home for your Halloween party. You can easily find and use leaves, gourds, candles and napkins to match. If you’re thinking about a haunted house party or something more of a “scary films” theme, you can focus on black and filled the house with stones and witches. Dim lighting, bats on the walls, cobwebs and skeletons (you can find plenty of these at online Halloween vendors and party stores); which are very scenic and can be distributed among exaggerating chairs and furniture. And don’t forget about the candles, lanterns and the traditional Jack o ‘Lantern. If functionality will prohibit it, the light should be off, as it will enhance the atmosphere more.

Greet your guests with a special compilation of Halloween tunes! Use sound effects; such as doors creaking or satanic laughter and a few songs. You can also tap into the soundtracks of Deep Red, Halloween, Friday 13 or any scary movies. Just a little bit of organ music or a music box that breaks the silence to create a little added terror. And if you are having a Halloween dinner you can enjoy some Halloween games or even throw in some scary movies or even scary parody films for the background.

Having Fun With Halloween Themes

After receiving your guests and you create the great atmosphere, playing on the mystery and fear, you can also shed the mask and relax …enjoy some refreshments. If you can, dye your drinks with natural colors that look like toxins and blood. Place gummy worms inside the juice and use gummy eyeballs when freezing your ice cubes. You can also create phony “Poison” labels to re-label your cocktails and juices. Look up some interesting Halloween appetizer recipes and serve them at your Halloween party as well. And don’t forget to serve a Halloween themed cake.

At the end of the party, don’t send away your guests without leaving them a frightening souvenir of the evening. Even here you can indulge the fantasy. The classic trick or treat bag or you can even order something online with a Halloween theme put on it; such as Halloween shot glasses, shirts, etc.
